Koryn's Costume

Hello everybody!
I made this costume the other day for a character named Koryn, she's a fourteen-year-old girl who gets kidnapped, rescued, and ends up becoming a princess in the end.

Here's the front...

It's tied in the back with a bow...

A close-up of the bodice...

Cute leather pouch :)

A few weeks ago Mom and I went to Hobby Lobby, and I found this cute leather pouch kit. So I didn't design it or anything, but I just HAD to post about it...

That's odd... sorry the first one is upside down. :(

If you read my posts lately, you know I'm making a Lucy Voyage of the Dawn Treader costume. I found these buttons for the vest...

Aren't they perfect! With the Lions and everything! I was so happy when I found them. :)

A successful experiment :)

Hey everyone!

The other day I needed a old-looking letter for a prop. The paper needed to be kind of crumpled and tan, so here's what I did:

First, I poured some cold coffee into a cookie sheet and placed a piece of white typing paper into it.

Then I sloshed it around a little bit to make sure the whole thing was going to get colored. I let it sit for a couple hours.

Then I crumpled it, and rung it out over the sink. Then I put it in the microwave until morning when I took it out...

Here's the difference between the paper I colored and a piece of typing paper...

Then I folded it in fourths, and tied a piece of twine around it to finish it off.
